The BC Tech Association has unveiled the 43 finalists for the 2025 Technology Impact Awards (TIAs), recognizing leading innovators and organizations shaping British Columbia’s dynamic technology sector.
New for 2025: Gamechanger – Deal of the Year
This year introduces the Gamechanger – Deal of the Year category, highlighting five major transactions that together have brought $3 billion in investment to BC. This addition reflects the province’s evolution into a hub for globally competitive tech companies and underscores the sector’s increasing significance within the provincial economy.

BC Tech’s Expanding Economic Impact
The technology industry now accounts for 8% of British Columbia’s GDP and employment, outpacing the province’s overall economic growth for more than ten years.
Spotlight on Emerging Talent
The TIAs also celebrate up-and-coming companies, with ten startups earning a place as finalists for the Company of the Year – Startup award. Winners will be chosen this fall during BC Tech’s Dragon’s Den Pitch Night, an event presented in partnership with Electronic Arts.

Awards Gala Details
Winners across all categories will be announced at the TIAs gala, scheduled for October 23, 2025, at Parq Vancouver.
