Swisspod, an innovative company specializing in high-speed, emission-free transportation technologies, has announced a significant expansion into the U.S. with the launch of a new manufacturing and assembly facility in Colorado Springs. This move marks a major milestone in the company’s North American growth and reinforces its commitment to revolutionizing the future of mobility.
The expansion is expected to bring 107 new high-quality jobs to the region, contributing to local economic development and advancing next-generation transportation solutions. These new positions will span engineering, design, production, marketing, operations, and administrative functions—offering an average annual salary of nearly $68,000, well above the county average.
The announcement follows Swisspod’s successful deployment of its first 200-meter stretch of full-scale Hyperloop infrastructure in Pueblo, Colorado. This project laid the groundwork for the company’s continued investment in the state and aligns with Colorado’s long-term transportation strategy—Vision 2035—which aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, expand public transit options, and build smarter urban infrastructure.
Founded in Lausanne, Switzerland, Swisspod is at the forefront of Hyperloop innovation, with proprietary technologies in propulsion and levitation that could disrupt traditional rail systems and have applications beyond transportation, including in aerospace and automotive industries. The new facility in Colorado Springs will support the company’s R&D and operational capabilities, thanks to its strategic location, access to skilled talent, and proximity to suppliers and partners.
“We’ve built strong roots here in Colorado,” said Denis Tudor, CEO and Co-Founder of Swisspod. “From our pilot site in Pueblo to now expanding into Colorado Springs, this region is a natural fit for our next chapter. We’re excited to deepen our presence and contribute to the local innovation ecosystem.”
To support the expansion, Swisspod will benefit from several public incentives. The Colorado Economic Development Commission has approved up to $918,000 in performance-based Job Growth Incentive Tax Credits over the next eight years, provided the company meets its hiring and salary targets. Locally, the Colorado Springs City Council has greenlit $5,250 in sales and use tax rebates on qualified purchases, while El Paso County has approved over $1 million in additional incentives. The company also stands to receive support through workforce development initiatives and the city’s Rapid Response Program.
“Swisspod’s arrival signals an exciting era for Colorado Springs,” said Mayor Yemi Mobalade. “Their cutting-edge vision for sustainable transportation aligns perfectly with our goals of economic resilience and innovation leadership. We’re proud to be home to such transformational technology.”
As Swisspod gears up for its next phase of growth, Colorado continues to position itself as a hub for forward-thinking transportation solutions and a magnet for global tech pioneers.
